Small World Grown Up and Me

 

Our Small World Grown Up and Me classes are designed to include parent or caregiver participation, while encouraging each child’s independent spirit, immersed in Chinese or Spanish. Classes focus on sensory and motor, cognitive, and language development through a variety of activities, including art, music, and movement. Parents and caregivers will also have the opportunity to participate in parent educational sessions led by our leadership team.

What Comes Next

Families participating in the Grown Up and Me Program are eligible to apply to join the Avenues Early Learning Center.

 

Small World 1s & 2s, 2026 - 2027

 

Our thoughtful approach to separation encourages toddlers to explore their growing independence while feeling secure and developing a sense of community.

 

In Small World 1s, an individualized approach is taken for each child, where caregivers collaborate closely with teachers, gradually transitioning from active involvement to observing, and eventually stepping out as the child becomes comfortable. One-Year-Olds for 2026—27 School Year Child must be 12 months old by August 31 of their year of entry. 

 

In Small World 2s, a two-week phase-in program starts with individual visits and progresses to small group and full-class interactions. Classroom time increases gradually, leading to a half-day or full-day schedule. Two-Year-Olds for 2026—27 School Year Child must be two years old by August 31 of their year of entry.

 

Submit an Application for the 2026-2027 School Year. Preliminary Application Form is due November 1st, 2025 for First Choice Round application.
